Neil McArthur, Non-executive Director
Neil was born and brought up in
Inverness although he has lived in
Aberdeen for almost 40 years.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of
Bankers in Scotland, he spent 34 years
with the Clydesdale Bank and held a number of senior positions before retiring in 1996 as North District Manager.
He then became a director in Briggs Commercial Ltd, and managing director of Briggs Marine Environmental Services Ltd, a major global provider of oil spill intervention services. He was responsible for the rapid expansion of the company in terms of its sales and international operations. In 5 years turnover increased from £3.5m to £24m and the company opened over 20 international bases in Egypt, Kazakhstan, Norway, Azerbaijan and Brazil, as well as making a number of acquisitions.
In 2001 he was appointed Managing Director of Ceto Environmental Limited, and 3 years later became Commercial Director at M S Industrial Services Ltd, a well known waste management services company based in Aberdeen and Invergordon.
He is currently a business consultant, Chairman of the Cromarty Firth Port Authority, a Non-executive Director of Enterprise North East Trust, and more importantly a Non-executive Director of Mackenzie PR.
