Pop up displays are used for all manner of activities- from corporate training days to selling merchandise. However, there are several key factors that are important when designing any type of pop up display. Displays must always be practical, beautiful, well considered, well lit and designed in such a way that vital information is immediately obvious. With these five tips in hand, you will be well on your way to designing a great pop up display!

  1. Make your display practical. Pop up displays must be quick and easy to put up, and pop down. It’s likely that you won’t have the space for very long, so you mustn’t waste time decorating it, or getting frustrated because the displays you’ve chosen are fiddly and difficult to set up. Your displays must also be easy to transport, meaning bulky, heavy, and awkward displays are a no-go. We offer a selection of bespoke pop-up displays, all of which are simple and easy to set up, are lightweight, versatile, and easy to transport- but are also of premium quality and are designed to stand out.

  1. Make your display beautiful. Whilst practicality is very important to ensure that your display doesn’t cause too many headaches, you need to try and strike a balance between practicality and beauty. Beauty doesn’t have to be impractical, we create extremely practical pop-up displays which are customisable, with stunning textured finishes and clear, sharp and bold images. To your customers, beauty is more important than practicality (they’re not the ones that will have to disassemble the display!) so in order to keep their attention for as long as possible, give them something stunning to look at.
  2. Consider what you need to include, and what you don’t. Pop up displays don’t give you much space to work with, so you’ll need to spend some time thinking about what must be included in the display, and what can be forgone to give you a bit of extra space. If you’re using the display to advertise products, then a good selection of products is advisable to show the depth and range of your business, but you don’t need to include every last item (if you have numerous product lines that is).
  3. Use effective lighting. Pop-up displays are about really showing off some of your best products to people who may not have had the opportunity to see them in the flesh before. You shouldn’t underestimate the power of good lighting in order to display your products at their optimum, and using LEDs (which are a more eco-friendly choice) to backlight and draw attention to certain products can take your display to the next level. Good lighting can also help your display appear bigger and brighter than it actually is, thus giving your customers the illusion of more space.
  4. Position important information in obvious places. Pop up displays need to quickly grab people’s attention, and a simple way of doing this is to keep everything that you want people to see immediately, at head height. There is no point putting your logo up so high that people have to crane their necks- because they simply won’t. Position things like logos, slogans, and important information in places where people will naturally look, otherwise they can easily miss the key elements of your display.
